Buck 313 with drop point?

There is a buck muskrat on eBay right now that has a drop blade instead of a spey blade in addition to the normal muskrat blade.
I can’t find any information in my searches that this model 313 buck was ever made with anything other than a spey blade as “secondary”. Does anybody have any information to provide on this? Here’s the link.

I don’t see any mention of it on the BCCI Model History page.

To me, the “drop point” blade looks like an authentic Buck 313 Spey blade that somebody modified to give it a sharper point. Would have been a pretty easy task for someone with a steady hand and the proper skills.

The nail nick is in the right place and the grind lines are almost an exact match to the other blade.

I hadn’t thought of a custom re-grind. Looking at those pictures again that’s most likely correct. A nice job to be sure but there’s something about the grind of the sharpened edge…..
