For those who store their knives in a safe, what options are out there to prevent humidity within the safe. I have used an electric “wand” for years and it is no longer working. Just looking for other ideas. Thanks.

I think those electric rods that warm up are the best option. I use one one in my knife safe, and another in my gun safe. So far so good for me! I also make a point of oiling everything often.

The rod heaters are the only way to go.No maintenance, only need to check once in a while to make sure they're warm.I have one that is over 40 years old and still going strong.

VCI products (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) could be another option. They emit a vapor that blocks the chemical reaction that causes corrosion.

I’ve been using them for about 15 years and they seem to work as advertised. I say “seem to” because I have no way of knowing if I would have found corrosion if I had not used them.
