All About Pocket Knives

There is already a topic or thread dedicated to made in Taiwan POCKET KNIVES. Now there is a topic or thread dedicated to made in Taiwan CUTLERY, that DOES NOT INCLUDE pocket knives. Here is my first contribution to this topic or thread.

Here are three sets of take apart eating utensils. Nothing fancy here. Each set has a spoon, a fork, and a knife. Each knife has a cap lifter or bottle opener. Two sets are identical. They are made in Taiwan and the knives are stamped, "STAINLESS STEEL" The spoons are 7" long, the forks are each 6 1/2" long, and both of the knives are 6 3/8" long. Each set came in its own vinyl storage bag. The outside of each flap is embossed and says, "MADE IN TAIWAN" The third set is also made in Taiwan. The knife is stamped, "ARKS GROUP (over) STAINLESS (over) TAIWAN" The spoon is 7" long, the fork is 6 1/2" long, and the knife is 6 3/8" long. It came in its own vinyl storage bag. The inside of the flap is embossed and says, "MADE IN TAIWAN" Got them in the late 90's for camping. They are in VERY GOOD condition. I took some pictures and here they are.

It is a TAIWAN, one blade, one blade stamp, 8" overall length, wooden handle, clam knife. The blade front stamp says, "STAINLESS (over) TAIWAN" It has NOT been used. This clam knife is in MINT condition. I took some pictures and here it is.

It is a (J.T.) SCOTCHLINE, No. VK-13, one blade, one blade stamp, 7" overall length, wooden handle, clam knife. The blade front stamp says, "SCOTCHLINE (over) STAINLESS TAIWAN" It was distributed and or sold by JEROS TACKLE CO., INC., CARTERET, NJ 07008 U.S.A. The clam knife is still sealed on the original, 3 3/8" x 10 1/4" display card. It has NOT been used. The display card is in EXCELLENT condition. The clam knife is in MINT condition. I took some pictures and here it is.

It is a TAIWAN, four tools(?), one stamp, 7 7/8" overall length (including the thing on the end of the fingers hole), all metal, pair of scissors. The front stamp, what remains of it says, "AIW" I do NOT know what the tools are for, if indeed they are tools. There are 21 notches in the blade and they measure exactly 2" from end to end. So, maybe used as a ruler? I am guessing that the notched gizmo near the center, is some sort of wrench? I have no idea what the pointed thing on the thumb hole is. I also have no idea what the other thing on the fingers hole is. These scissors have been in my family for as long as I can remember. Overall, this pair of scissors is in GOOD condition. I took some pictures and here it is.

It is a JANKA, two stamps, 8 1/4" overall length, all metal, pair of scissors. The front stamp says, "JANKA (over) 8"" The back stamp says, "MADE IN (over) TAIWAN" These scissors have been in my family for as long as I can remember. Overall, these scissors are in GOOD condition. I took some pictures and here it is.

Back in December 2023, this fixed blade knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. I did NOT buy the group or lot of pocket knive to obtain this particular fixed blade knife. However, it turned out to be a keeper. It definitely got added to my general, fixed blade knife accumulation. It is a U.S. DIVERS, one blade, two blade stamps, one handle mark, two sheath marks, 10" overall length, scuba diving, fixed blade knife. One blade stamp says, "U.S. DIVERS" with a logo or symbol. The other blade stamp says, "STAINLESS STEEL" The knife handle mark says, "MADE IN - TAIWAN" This knife came with a hard plastic sheath. The sheath measures 9 1/2" overall length. The front of the sheath is marked and says, "U.S. DIVERS" with a logo or symbol. On the back of the sheath it says, "MADE IN TAIWAN" This fixed blade knife is SHARP!!! and in EXCELLENT condition. The knife handle did need some VERY minor cleaning. The sheath shows minor wear, but did NOT need cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.
