All About Pocket Knives

Hi … can’t find a specific thread on Empire so hope posting here is ok. Had this a long but memory isn’t so good anymore, so no recollection of when or where I got it.
Hoping there are some Empire collectors out there who can tell me more about it? i.e. is this a dogleg rope or hawk bill?
Anything else particular about it?

That's me I suppose. I would love to get the opportunity to purchase or trade for this knife.
It is a turn of the century knife with pick bone. Empire was one of the largest cutlery producers of their time . The primary blade is a pruning blade and the secondary is a spey . It is a special pattern for budding , pruning , and grafting. The primary blade is well worn, but it's still nice.

I have an A F Shapleigh Hardware one , Which was made by Empire, as Shapleigh was the sole distributor of Empire knives.

My advice is to sell it to Lyle, above. He is the world farmer knife repository and museum and that knife would be happier there than anywhere else. Just my opinion.

I agree. He's the chief steward of Farmer Jacks. O'.

And thank you kind sir for allowing me to add this to the "repository". I believe , after a second look, my Shapleigh is probably older than the marked Empire.

You know ,I have a house full of beautiful new GEC made for me knives and I can't stop thinking about the knife pictured above.( They're practically all sold )
