All About Pocket Knives

I need some help from some Camillus experts on this knife. This knife was in a box of junk from a friend of mine. It was rusted shut and the blade was loose, so I figured why not fix it. My question is the handles are wood but were not pined on just glued. The scales have no holes so apparently it should be that way. The rocker pin is hidden under the wood handles. I have looked up the model 68 stockman and none have wood handles as I can see. Just want to know if the knife is correct as is.

Looks like someone did a good job of re-handling the knife. The staple type liners are usually seen on synthetic handles. The staples point out and into the handle material.

I agree. It looks like they did a decent job of inletting the shield. I would re-use the handles, but would drill them for that pivot pin, if it were mine.
