The other options that year were X2265 for composition pearl handles and X6265 for bone stag handles.
We can identify it to the 1941 run because the pen blade is on the shield side of the knife.
The 1936-1940 version had the main blade on the shield side.
Actual manufacturer could be Western, Utica, Case, Union (Kabar) or others as Western had knives made by other cutlery companies, as did all the other cutlery companies. They were one big incestuous lot back then. No records remain to identify who made what for who.
