All About Pocket Knives

Dug this one out of a box of letter openers l'm re-photographing and got to thinking about the inscription scratched into both sides. How old was Douglas? Was he a youngster or an adult? Did his mother really smoke or did he just think it was cool? Did she use it a lot or was it just tossed in her desk drawer? How did it wind up at the yard sale where l bought it?
Why arent these things able to talk and tell us their stories!

That's pretty darn cool, and may have a good story behind it. Wish it could talk!

That is super cool, oh to be a fly on the wall there in 1958, dang a couple of months later I became a teenager.
