What Fire and Wire Means

Check this out....I guess this is what S&M means by *FIRE*
My children were cleaning up our living room where I had been taking photos...these got scooped up with the burnable trash.
Do you think this is covered by the warranty??

oh dude, that sucks
. looks like temper in blade, spring and lockbar was ruined too. maybe queen would take the mback and refurbish/retemper them for a small fee?

I don't think they will "rework" the blades as it's more expensive to "rework" than to start from scratch. Although file and wire is the ageless test of blade quality. Hard enough for a file to skim across the blade without grabbing any bite. Not so hard that a blade can cut through a wire without chipping or creating any damage.
If they don't take them back, I would consider buying them at a small price, I am looking for slip joints as patterns for knives down the road.
It won't be much, I really hope for your sake that they do a public service and repair for free. That's something the American cutlers to consider for sales that the Chinese can't match. Really sad to see that!

I am not planning to ask them to fix or replace them. MY fault and I will eat them. I can't imagine asking them to do it.

They were in a box...and children are not always the most careful! I growled a bit! Not a cheap fire!

Sorry for the loss of the knives. I really hope that's all that was lost in whatever conflagration consumed those knives.

They would be covered under your Homeowners Policy..except you probably have at least a $250 or $500 Deductible!!
