Very cool. We have a ton of old pictures at the farm from the 1950's and older of people we have no clue about. Unfortunately no one wrote names on the back of the photo, but some do have the year.

I think I see my Mom in there! Just kidding but one of those unidentified ladies does resemble her.

Same here. One of the things we do at family reunions is encourage everyone to bring old photos, especially those where they don’t know the identity of someone (or multiple someone’s) in the pictures. Then we gather and collectively review the pictures to see if anybody recognizes who is in them. Always a fun bonding activity with a lot of discussion and memories shared, and usually we get at least a few folks in those pictures identified.

Hi John:
Unfortunately, a common situation among many families, I think, as generations transit through. My maternal grandmother died in 1979. She had acquired her house from her aunt (my great grandfather's sister). My father found shoe boxes full of pics in the basement that, sadly, no one living knew who they were.

My Grandfather and Grandmother had a photo booth. This frame would be hung outside as a form of advertising. There id half of a hinge on the top which mated with the other half on the booth and a pin was inserted. There are many I would say 70% are my family plus me in a couple as a little feller. Circa 1963.

Hi Mitchell:
Wow! What an awesome display of photo booth art. So glad for you that it survived all of these years. I appreciate your sharing. In what type of location was the booth located?

This is a very interesting collection. I enjoy looking at them. I am surprised that there are so many photo booth pictures out there to be found. Members got any old photo booth pictures from your youth?

Even more photo booth pics. The first two are my paternal grandparents--my Dad's stepfather (1898-1973) and mother (1913-1979).
Thanks for looking.

This is my Mom and Dad. Not sure if these were made before or after they married, but sometime in the 1930’s.
These were pressed into little tin frames with that logo on the back.
It’s pretty obvious Dad was intoxicated. Mom never drank alcohol.

Interesting collection. I figured there would be more clowning around photos like the one of the girl with the pigtails, but most seem to be more serious. I'm sure those photobooths could tell some tales if they could speak.

Yes, since the photos came out in strips of four poses, it's interesting to imagine what the missing pics may have looked like.

Yes she is, and a great pose as well. I remember I found her and the young lady preceding her in the same stack of pics at the Allentown (PA) Paper Collectibles Show. With the same photo booth (notice the backdrop) and identical pose, I'm sure that they knew each other and probably had their images made at the same time.

Still more photo booth images I've collected. The first is inscribed on the reverse "Grand Mound, Iowa, June 1938".
Thanks for looking.
