The covers are bone, with no shield, yet the tang stamp says UMC which is what the Bullet knives had right? Looks like a counterfeit to me.

Looks like a modern knife, definitely not an old Remington. The pattern numbers look to have been individually stamped. Counterfeit is certainly a possibility.

I agree. The main blade tang appears to have been shaved down.
I don't know why a counterfeiter would have made it look like a Parker knife, rather than an old Remington knife, but there are rarely good explanations.
