Repairing cracks in Arizona ironwood blocks

Hello everyone
I managed to acquire a few blocks of Arizona ironwood by chance.
Some of them have cracks. Could you advise on how to fix them?

A friend has had some wood blocs from his farm stabilized. Dont know where he sent it??

You're not going to have much luck filling any cracks in block form. The cracks would be too deep and would likely still proliferate. Better to give the wood time to REALLY dry out and then cut the blocks up into knife handles and see what you have and if it's salvageable or repairable. Desert ironwood needs a lot of time to stabilize and dry out. I usually give it a few years before I do anything with it.

Www.knifeandgun.com, (928)537-8877. They custom stabilize wood, stag, bone, etc. Tell them what you have and what you want. I am not endorsing them, just giving information.

I don't believe stabilization is going to fix any cracks. You'll just have stabilized wood with cracks in it. Also desert ironwood is incredibly hard and dense and the stabilization process would probably be wasted on it as it wouldn't penetrate.
