All About Pocket Knives

Sailor's knife marked E. Blyde, England. Seems to be well-made, with a lot of snap in the blade, but I don't know what to make of the tang marks--the E. Blyde being double struck, to say the least.

Interesting knife, but it’s a tool. Most buyers would not pay much if any attention to the stamp. Nor would the maker. It’s mainly us collectors who care about such things.

Here is a Tweedale's entry detailing the history of Edwin Blyde cutlery. I also found info indicating that Manhattan Marine and Electric was founded in the 1920s and in operation until the early 2000's.
