I do not own or have any personal interest in this knife.
It just seem unique enough that I thought I would share....

Nice ones Cal! I have been selling off all my Remingtons including an RH 40 and a few 38s. I know the knife in the auction, Rob Weatherholtz showed it to me a couple times, it is a nice one and RARE. My friend Brad has one too but those are the only two I have ever seen.

Thanks, Gene; I need to do the same thing, I guess.

I dunno Cal, you may go for a long time. Most Remington fixed blades are lower valued now than they were five years ago. Of course if you got them right you shouldn't lose. I took a bath on my 40 and my mint 38. I just talked to a friend who has a friend who will bid four grand on the 42 in the auction and there are a couple of heavy hitters also showing interest.

Yeah, I didn't get in to make money and that is working out.

Most folk don't realize how stunning those minty old Remingtons are, but the 'winds of change', and all that. It can look fickle. I just watched a fellow buy a fake Ruana (but a nice $75 old hunting knife anyway) for $350 plus, and he had other bidders right behind him. Go figger. I posted that one here in the counterfeit watch. Funny stuff.

My '38 would make somebody happy for a lot less than that. Just taking up room here and I haven't looked at it for years.
