Is this A.W.wadsworth knife an error? Wadsworth is spelled with a t. Or is it a fake?

The only similar ones I have are spelled "A.W. Wadsworth & Son Germany".

All I know is it would be a weird duck that would fake a trademark that has little collectible value.
What's the stamp look like on the main blade?

Pretty sure it's an error, as WLF said, they aren't really high dollar collectibles (especially with metal handles), however, I've owned a few and they are good quality knives.

If you search around AAPK you will find other old posts about stamps with errors. I’m sorry that I can’t remember specific examples.

Yes there are others and this is my infamous one. It is kinda weird that it's on the secondary blade too.

Interesting indeed, I have a somewhat similar one, but in a case 6488 Congress pattern. It’s a 1974 6 dot and when I looked at it with a loop it has what looks like an 8 stamped above the dots very lightly though but is clearly visible with a loop. Hmm anyone seen anything like that?
Thanks
