All About Pocket Knives

I've looked online a little bit but can't seem to find much. The handle and blade are both about 4 inches long. Is this a rare or valuable knife and how would I go about determining it's value? Thanks for whoever has time to help

The best source of current value is typically an advanced search of eBay, for sold listings only, of the item. In this case “Joseph Rodgers knives”, Joseph Rodgers pruner”, or similar. That will give you the price at which the item or similar items actually sold for. Condition is paramount in determining values of knives so compare yours with those that were sold, and adjust accordingly.

The blade has a fair amount of us on it, which hurts value, but if the stag is all there and the knife still has good walk & talk, then that's a plus

As with everything, the "value" is subjective, i.e., the intersection of the amount someone is willing to pay for it and the amount the seller is willing to sell it for. Although in the case of an auction, the bidder or bidders have somewhat more say in determining the value (unless the seller sets a predetermined reserve price).

It appears that Casey has determined the value (to him) to be $150.00.

That looks about right considering past auctions on eBay.

Thank you for the comments. I do appreciate the help. I guess we'll see. There's no reddish colored rust on the blade. The pictures do look that way for some reason. Is the rust you're referring to different from what I am thinking rust looks like?
