All About Pocket Knives

anyone know where these were made.? my books say austria or germany. my friend says japan....... huuuuuuh? did parker have any repops made in jaypan?.......TC

i think they were a brand at a. kastor & son. german and austrian. the kastor bros. bought camillus around 1900.

Japan makes some of the best knives As for Parker in the 80s, Bulldog in 2001, they both had some knives made in japan. Cant find anything on morley and sons

got my lil knife today .it is stag, nice lil knife for as old as it is.......TC

Resurrecting an old thread due to a recent find. Found this W.H. Morley & Sons Germany whittler (?), each blade has a 4 leaf clover stamped on the opposite side. Goins says 1913-1927. The scales aren't in the best condition, maybe pressed stag? 3 3/8" closed, not much blade loss, great walk & talk, 1/2 stops on the smaller blades, wedged backsprings with a tapered brass spacer.

I have a few smaller Morleys. I really like them. All of mine are well made and I like their little clover leaf on the pile side.

I found another Morley

Love those stag handles. And I think my A.W. Bradshaw & Sons - Germany, came from the same factory as your Morely's. The stag is near identical, as is the font used in the tang stamp. (specifically the "W" )

I agree, very unique. I think Lyle might have been the one who found the term, "pressed stag." I guess it was a way for early makers to give a knife more character, and I like it.
