All About Pocket Knives

A knife I've had for awhile is an inexpensive one bladed knife; three and one half inches closed and shaped like ladies leg-boot-stocking pattern
the knife has the high button boots and the tang stamp reads..( Germania; Cutlery Works; Germany).. Goin's book dates the knife stamp 1896-1917
by having the buttons on the shoes I would date the knife in the late 1800's to the early 1900's.. the knife is in great condition giving the age and
and the process it was made by well over 100 years ago...Goin's didn't have very much information on this cutlery company
It would be interesting to see if anyone can show other knives and or add more information about the company

Seen yours MB and got to thinking theres one around here somewhere. Found it ,not as good a shape as yours ,but still a good piece .

Nice knife, glad to see it!

Seems as if Germania Cutlery did make some very good knives and glad to see them

Found another Germania in a box of minis was going thru. Nice solid well made piece with great snap for such a small knife (2and5/8 inches closed). Both blades stamped .

My wife's dad had one like the small pearl handled one ripster posted above.

Nice little knife...I was thinking that I have some others but can't locate them now...If I find them will post them
