All About Pocket Knives

Hey everyone. I've been lurking around this site for several months and decided to join with my renewed interest in collecting old pocket knives.

Can anyone tell me how to remove bolster caps and scales that aren't pinned? The bolster caps have a bent over tab.

Welcome to AAPK. Based on the description your knife has what is called “shell” handles. It is an inexpensive method for attaching covers to the knife. Those are common on inexpensive brands like Imperial. A good source for information is the Knife Repair and Restoration subforum here on AAPK. viewforum.php?f=37
You can do a keyword search there for “shell”, “tab”, “spring”, etc and find tutorials about repairing your knife. Or post your questions about repairs there, which will get seen by members here who are experienced knife mechanics.
