Guys I need more help. I have been reading about Utica and Kutmaster. I know Utica was roughly 1910-37 & Kutmaster from 1937 to present. What I can’t find is did Utica change completely to a Kutmaster tang stamp after 1937 or were they also still using a Utica tang stamp.
I am asking because I am trying to figure out the date on this knife

From what I hear and read, dating Utica's and Kutmaster's by stamp isn't easy. The names did seem to overlap. The older Uticas have an arched stamp. Good luck. J.O'.

I think you have it mixed up a little. Utica has been around since the early days of the 20th century, and still makes knives. Kutmaster is a division of Utica. Dating a Utico by tang stamp is basically impossible. You have to look at the knife construction and make a guess from there. The knife pictured in the OP is probably from the 30s or 40s.

I appreciate the help here. I didn’t know that they were still using the Utica tang stamp, I thought it changed to Kutmaster.
