All About Pocket Knives

I recently was put in care for researching a knife collection and noticed that 2 knives look similar in the basic make up. One is limited edition chuck buck and the is a remingtonmillenium bullet knife.
Are these both made by Buck?

I’m not sure what model you have but Buck did make some knives under the Remington brand a few years ago. The model 532 was one of them.

The Remington is a r1120, not sure on the buck, do they have number on them?

Pictures would help if you have the capability but yes, most Buck knives will have a model number on the tang of the blade. Exceptions to that would be Limited Edition Buck knives. Some of them have model numbers on the tang and some don’t.

"Remington millenium bullet knife" means it was a model for 2000. Camillus made the Remington Bullet Knives from 1982 until they went out of business in, IIRC, 2006. The 2007 Remington Bullet cheetah style lockback was made by Bear & Sons. Buck made the Remington Bullet Knives in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Reflecting on this thread it occured to me that Duels3114's Buck and Remington may have been made by the same manufacturer, Camillus. Camillus made 14 models of Buck 300 series slip joints. For many years Camillus made all Buck 300 series slip joints then in 1986 Buck started making some models in house and Camillus continued making some models. We could research which models Camillus was still making in 2000 but that is not worth my time without Duels3114 describing his knives. The quick answer is if the Buck was made by Camillus it will not have Buck's date code on its tang.
