Trying to identify maker

Bought this at a flea market for a couple of bucks as a cleaning project. Although it's a beater, I thought I should at least make an attempt to identify the maker. The only imprint is "MADE IN U.S.A." on the tang of the main blade. Not much, if anything, to go on. The closed knife is 3.25 inches. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks for looking.

I have one that says Made in USA that looks like it and was told it was a UTICA. There are many more knowledgeable than me though. I'd wait for one to chime in.

I seem to recall Wards "Made In USA" pocket knives were made by Camillus.

The above knife after cleaning--penetrating oil, Scotch Brite non-scratch pads, bamboo skewers, soft pipe cleaners, 0000 steel wool, and lots of elbow grease.

Yep! Amazing how much satisfaction a person can get doing something simple with their hands.
