All About Pocket Knives

Got to wondering how many firearms manufacturers made or had made for them knives. We are all familiar with the names Remington & Winchester as early makers of knives, but how many more did as well?
I started going through my knives and came up with the following:
BERETTA.....BROWNING...,CROSMAN.....GLOCK.....MARBLES.....MAUSER.....IVER JOHNSON.....REMINGTON.....SMITH & WESSON.....WINCHESTER.....

Colt and Smith & Wesson.I would consider Marbles a knife company that made guns.

Case made knives for Ruger. I sold the ones I had a few years ago. They looked very nice.

While it is quite common for gun makers to put their brand on knives made for them, what gun makers actually make knives?

I would agree with Roger about Marbles a knife and ax company that made guns.
I am not positive the one that comes to me is Remington. I do not own a Remington gun still have many of dad’s Remington knives.

Case Ruger Peanut on top of a Ruger Red Label.

My Remington R1 1911 came with a vacant spot for a multitool. There was a little flyer tucked into the spot. So of course I took the bait and had to complete the package.

I can add Herters and Thompson Center. I own a Case slip joint marked both Case and Herters. There are Herter's firearms. I do not know who actually made them. My Case 6354 Ruger Trapper is similar. Walmart sold more modern Chinese Ruger one hand opening knives and Ruger sold them through their website. Before S&W bought Thompson Center there were knives branded Thompson Center.

This is the more interesting question.

Remington and Winchester both made large quantities of knives before WW II but neither has made any since. During the 1970s S&W made six models of fixed blade knives. I am not aware of Colt making any knives. Ever. When I first bought Rough Ryders a model I like was $15 or $2 more branded Colt. The situation is much the same now with many Rough Ryder models also available branded Marbles. Browning has not manufactured anything since the 19th century.

It must be hard for buyers who are not keenly interested in knives to know how much gun branded knives are worth. While Winchesters made by Queen are worth good money during Christmas season Wal-Mart sells three Chinese Winchesters in a blister pack for $20.

I think way back in the day, Case made a small number of revolvers. Maybe only 10 or so. They were better off sticking with the knife production.

Apparently, if I buy a tool and/or knife branded by my favorite gun maker, there is a real good possibility that tool is made in a country that prohibits private ownership of guns

Continuing the theme, a Sig Sauer P220 Legion .45ACP and Hogue 3.5" Tanto Blade with Black Cerakote, and Grey Polymer Frame. I’m a proud Legion owner and Perks member.

This is a S&W branded saddlehorn made by Stewart Taylor and Sons according to the tang stamp on the pile side of the clip. The mark side is stamped Smith & Wesson over U.S.A. There is a serial number on the mark side bolster, 176. Treefarmer

Heckler and Koch has had knives made for them for many years, usually using the HK moniker. I know that Hogue makes knives for them now but can’t remember all the others from the past.
