Farmers Jack in 1095 and hand jigged bone

Post by ashwinearl »

Farmers Jack in 1095 and hand jigged bone. This was a huge step for me with a lot of firsts in my knifemaking journey. Inspired by an old broken Henckels that Lyle let me take apart. In the scanning and making a drawing somewhere I ended up scaling it a little shorter and stouter. So I am calling this a 'compact' Farmers Jack. It is a little shorter in closed length than typical.

I jigged and dyed the bone myself. Mill relieved liners, pinned shield, spun pin.

Here is a video of the walk and talk before I put the edges on. https://youtube.com/shorts/n6J-Y6ALzm0?feature=share

ashwinearl,
Congrtulations, that's a fine looking knife you've built!
