All About Pocket Knives

I am new to this, so keep that in mind...I am trying to date this Buck 110. From what I can find on the Buck Knife site this is a 1972-1986 model.

Any help would be appreciated. I have a bunch of knives that I am trying to sell for my brother-in-law, this is the first. I am stuck on this one.

It can be complicated to date the 110 but my guess is that it’s 1972-1974 as evidenced by the two small handle pins and the tang stamp.

I could be overlooking something that would date it differently. Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

What about asking buck knives themselves? Couldn't hurt if they were able to date it fantastic or not then you'd be back to the same position.

It is a 5th Version, 3rd Variation Buck 110 made from 1972 to 1974.

This is based on an extensive research project put together by Joe Houser, Buck Knives Historian until 2021, over on bladeforums back in 2009.

Joe posted a word documents on there that can be downloaded. They cover 110s and 112s up to 1980. One for each model.

Just be sure and give Joe credit for the research when you use the data sheet.
