Welcome aboard!
I know Rostfrie means rust free, equivalent to saying stainless steel in German.
Solingen identifies it further as made in Germany.
Others my be able to tell from the pics you have, but I can't.
Full photos of the knife, along with how long it is closed will help a great deal in type ID.

Pretty sure your knife is a Hoffritz. They were not knife makers, but importers / exporters from NYC.

I agree, from the information given it is a pocketknife. Beyond that I'm not certain.

It appears to be a single blade with a long, slender Spear blade.

It looks a little short to be a Melon Tester but that’s my best guess.

I believe this one is made by Hartkopf. Also think it is a sleeveboard pattern. I've owned several of them. They are good knives.
