Guys,
I just put in a call to Michael 'Tank' Fisher and his wife advised me he had passed quite a while back. I had done business with him off and on and I was sorry to hear of his passing. I know some of you also patronized him so I thought I should send the word around.
Rest in Peace, Tank.

Ray

I remember Tank, I think he passed back before Covid some years. He was a SAK collector.

Wow! Somehow I missed those posts. I hadn't had any contact with him in a while. He had stopped by my table at the Belton Show back in the mid-1990s and we had done business off and on since then. He always did excellent work.

I know how that goes Ray - these days I’m removing more contacts on phone than I’m adding ::shrug:: I’m sure you know how that goes.

His last post was in 2017, I guess that's what made me think it was longer ago.

Guys you're confusing two now departed members here who both went by the nick name "Tank". Tank Fisher was a knife maker and customizer. The gentleman shown in the photos above was Anthony Meeks aka Tank. He had Lou Gerhegs disease and was totally paralyzed for several years before his passing. He served as a moderator here on AAPK years ago. He's been gone a few years now.

Thanks for clearing that up, Philco. Personally I couldn't bring this together in my mind until I read the surname, Meeks. I remember him but was not familiar with the gentleman that was knife maker.

Me too, tree. I don't remember the knife maker, per se. Thanks, Phil! ::handshake::

Thank you, Phil; I had a feeling something was amiss.
