All About Pocket Knives

Hi all. I bought this knife new. It is handmade by a small independent maker in Sheffield. There appears to be some discoloration around the left pins and bolster. I tried to show it in the photo. It feels perfectly smooth to the touch and close-up appears not to be cracked...just lighter colored. I realize that the horn is a natural material and that one must expect some inconsistencies. I was wondering if you think this is normal for this type of handle? Otherwise it is beautiful. Your opinions would be much appreciated. s-k

Nice knife.

I'd say perfectly normal...especially from a respected maker. I think black, white, green, and gray are all common colors in horn.

Have a look at the bottom knife here...a Fight'n Rooster in buffalo horn.....
