I found a kutmaster in an antique shop with some really interesting quirks I’d love to know more about it

I see a snapped tip on your clip blade and you seem to want to display other quirks but without a description it would be hard to tell what kind of information you're looking for.
If you want to sweeten up the tipped clip blade and sharpen the blades you would have a decent packer.

It has two different colored scales, both of which look like they're from the factory. I don't have any books or the knowledge on tang stamps to date it.

Could just be faded on one side from exposure. O'.

The off colors of the scales/covers probably aren't an issue. As Ridgegrass states, they could just be faded on one side. Fairly common.
I wouldn't know how to date the knife from the stamps. Sorry. The joints look like they could use a drop of oil and the blades may need sharpening if you want to carry it. Not a bad little carry knife.

I don't know if I should post this Kutmaster Barlow on this thread, but I did not want to start a new one just for this knife. I picked this up in a group of knives I purchased. I had never seen a Kutmaster Barlow. The knife had a broken pen blade and plastic handles, so I figured let's dress it up. added bone handles and removed broken blade. Nice Barlow for an edc
