They have a pretty good following around here, at least up until Camillus quite making them last year.
Still available at decent prices, decent quality, interesting variations. I expect they will go up in value, the question is how much when...

Remington started making those '88 with several variations each year (plain and scrolled bolsters, plain and scrolled with damascus blades and so on), for some reason they skipped 1996 and 1997 dont know why and if I am wrong about that someone please correct me. There are probably 40 or 50 different model's and variations, I have 22 of them, so for my kids sake I hope they increase in value because I am pretty sure I will have spent all my money on knives by the time I kick off,,,LOL.
They are all very nice and very well built,,,,just one more reason to mourn the passing of Camillus.

So these were made by Camillus for Remington? boy they did do alot of contract work...I wish Queen made them I'm still a bigger fan of there work. Yes I'm familure with all the different knives they came out with the Damascus sells real high on e bay. There DELRIN re-make knives i.e. R1173... I have 4 years of those, I just prefer the natural materials. Soooo when I saw Bone I bid and I got these at a real nice price. Out of yourRemington knives which do you think have the best fit and finish???

My personal favorite of the SB variations is my 1998 R293SB with scrolled bolster,,,its an awesome knife.
I also have every year except the R1123 1982 model of the standard repro models,,,I will have it one of these days when I force myself to drag that 300 to 400 bucks outta my pocket,,,LOL.
If you like the bone scales,,,look at the 2004, 05, 06, 07 and 2008 standard repro models,,,they are all real bone,,,dont know why they made that change but,,,,they are all very nice and seen to be very well made. Those model #'s are R103B, R4353B, R1273B, R1373 and RB473.
Another really nice series of Remingtons are the Wildlife series they made from 1996 thru 2005,,,,they are all genuine stag Canoes,,,they also seem to be very well made.
I have over 100 Remingtons so holler if you need to know more.
