Here is an Imperial Congress I picked up recently from Ed Landers. I dont see much when I google Vintage Imperial Congress. Seems to be a well built knife. Blades are a little used but I will clean it up and EDC it for a bit. Anyone else have one they can show? The blades are all stamped. Thanks. :)

I don't have a congress but I do have a jack. It cleaned
up real nice. The blades became very sharp. I think it
is a often forgotten brand for EDC and buyer clean-up.

The only one I have is this Imperial half Congress. I guess that means only half of Congress showed up because the other half were busy taking bribes or were drunk. lol It is 3 and 1/4 inches in overall length closed and is a shell handle construction.

Looks nice OC!! Clean!! My stamp is the 1936 - 1952 stamp, I believe. I like yours. Thanks for showing it. I think a half a Congress would be better than a full Congress as far as the country is concerned! Less opinionated people!! :D only half!! :)

Woodwalker, unless I am mistaken yours is pre-shell-handled, which might date it back to the 1920's.
It looks good to possible be 100 years old!
Hopefully someone else with more information will offer a better insight.

O, how cool Reverand! Its definitely not shell. Solid bolsters. I would love to know if it's that old! I cant find hardly any other Congress Imperials that are vintage. Peanut (Roger) had a very nice bone handled one, but that's all I have seen so far. This one has some sort of rubber type handles. Not sure if I'm describing it right or what they would be called. But they feel kinda rubbery. Not shell for sure. I've grown quite fond of it. I like the uniqueness of it. I have sharpened it and it is so scary sharp. All Imperials seem to sharpen up very well. Good steel on those. Thank you for responding. I appreciate your info!! ::handshake:: :D

Here are my two half congress Imperials, similar to the one posted by Olde Cutler, but with imitation Mother of Pearl handle covers. One is almost new looking and has never been sharpened. The other I carried when I was a kid in the 1950's and now resides in my toolbox in the garage. Both have the Imperial tang stamp on the sheepfoot blade and two Imperial patent numbers on the pen blade.

Question for Olde Cutler: Do two half congress knives make a full congress?
