October 2024 Forum Member Knife Giveaway

This month we have a donor who is not shy about donating or winning the monthly knife giveaway. Ken (Mumbleypeg) has won the giveaway twice (1/2021 and 10/2023) but more importantly, this is his third time donating to the giveaway (8/2016 and 12/2019). Being passionate about collecting whittlers, Ken dug through his stash and found a solid candidate for this month’s giveaway; a Case Vintage Stag V5383.
This knife features Tru-Sharp stainless-steel blades, brass pins, and liners. Made in 2000, Ken bought the knife new, and it is in mint condition in the box with the original wrapper. The blades are tight with good walk-and-talk and what you see in the pictures is what the winner will receive. This knife was only unboxed/unwrapped for taking pictures and occasional inspection. (we didn’t notice the fingerprints in the pictures until afterward. They wiped off and are not permanent on the knife). Ken hopes that someone will enjoy this one as much as he did!

Instructions for entering the giveaway...
Simply click here and select a number between 0 and 999.
You will have until October 31st (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number, after which entries will not be considered. The Illinois State Lottery evening pick-three drawing will determine the winner on October 31st.
The individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

To be eligible to win, you must be 18 years of age and either (a) have made at least 100 total forum posts at the time of entering the monthly giveaway or (b) have previously donated successfully to at least one prior monthly knife giveaway.
Please ensure that your Board Preferences Miscellaneous Notifications are set to notify you via email when someone sends you a Private Message (PM) to ensure the time requirements below are met.
The first-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM after the drawing and will have three days to respond with contact and shipping information. If the first-place winner does not respond within three days, the knife will be offered to the next player on the list without going over.
The next-place winner will be sent an AAPK PM, and they will have one day to respond with contact and shipping information. If the next-place winner does not respond within one day, the knife will be offered in the same manner to the next player on the list without going over.

Congratulations to Beresman whose pick of 577 was the closest to the winning lottery number without going over. A PM has been sent to claim the prize. If you believe in karma, these are the dividends from Brent's donation of 3 knives in May of this year (Case XX model 6375 stockman, Boker USA model 1786, and Bertram Cutlery Hen & Rooster congress knife, Model 324C-LB).
Please join me in thanking Mumbleypeg (Ken) for such a fine donation that 50 eligible participants were all hoping for (along with 14 who were ineligible).
