Got this today. Not in my wheel-house. Hoping it's legit. Sheath legit. WWII? Not in bad shape, Use evident but not abused. Iron guard and pommel, snap replaced, no good.(Were they steel or brass? ) Any info appreciated. J.O'.

Looks like a honest WW 2 Mark 2 to me. I recall the sheaths with staples being early WW 2 , later sheaths had rivets.

Thanks RJ. Gunsil agrees, 1943. I got lucky, found it in a pawn shop, had a feeling, and took a chance. Its a nice one.

Hello, I'm glad to manage the registration. I'm Czech so my English is not that perfect.
I bought a knife, Camillus N.Y. U.S.M.C., but the point of the blade is different. Do someone know where it belongs to? Date of production or some other informations?

Welcome to the forums 2CIMI. Your knife appears to be a world war 2 era MK2 made by Camillus for the U.S. government. There were many companies that made that style of knife and all are collectible. If you search this forum for the words. "MK II " or " KA-BAR" you will find examples of them. WELCOME ABOARD!
