Prayers for Tim

I am requesting prayer for a friend and fellow Deacon at our church, Tim Hilley.
3 days ago he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Tim and I grew up in this community, went to school together all 12 years - we even rode the same school bus.
He was a roommate of mine in college for about a year. He was with me the night I met the young girl who is now my wife.
Now at 56 years old, Tim and I serve in church together. He is a Deacon, teaches Sunday School, and really has a heart for God's Word.
He is still reeling from the news, but his faith seems strong. He is waiting to hear from a specialist at UAB who specializes in pancreatic cancers.
I am asking that we all pray for healing and peace for him, his wife, and their 3 grown children.
Thank you.

Praying your friend Tim will be able to get through this difficult place he is in. Praying the Lord will continue to increase his faith and give him, his family and special friends the grace to go through this, knowing he's a winner either way.

God bless you brother Tim, and God bless you Rev.
We take each other up to are heavenly father in prayer. We bear each other's burdens. We support and care for one another when hard times come.
God bless Tim while he goes through this ordeal. God bless Him with His peace and silent strength that only the Lord provides.
May God bless Tim with the peace that surpasses all understanding.
God bless His family, knowing Tim is in the hand of the Lord, never to be moved or shaken.

Update on Tim:
This morning the doctors were able in install a stent in the bile duct (which the tumor had blocked), so that should aid his digestion and help clear his severe jaundice.
They have taken a biopsy of the tumor, and we should know more once results are in.
Thank you for your prayers!

Praise report!
Tim's announced at church today that his second biopsy has confirmed that this tumor is benign! We give all praise to Jesus our Lord for this great news!
He will find out later this week if he still faces surgery to remove it, or if there are other options available, but the peace that he exhibited was palpable!
Folks, I do not believe in the power of prayer; rather I believe in the power of a loving Savior who listens.
It is God. All God. Not us, not our faith or our prayers, but all God and only God.
And I am thankful that He listens, that He intercedes, and that he allows us to share in what He is doing through prayer!
