There once was a knife known as Jack

There once was a knife known as Jack
Until GEC gave it hack
Bill shortened the end
And rounded it then
It’s the Bullet End Barlow Jack

It stirred up debate and chatter
Said some with Bill what’s the matter
Randy chimed in
And said with a grin
It’s like we’ve become the Mad Hatter

Its got a great clip and pen
But that’s by no means the end
They’ve wrapped 'round the spring
And what did that bring?
Good heft as it filled in the end

With aesthetics so grand
And covers not bland
Whiskey barrel oak
Add in Rozee’s joke
All to be held in the hand

Inevitable I suppose
Came all of the SFOs
It’s not just a tool
But a gentleman’s jewel
And which of those gems had I chose?

Smooth white bone
Is the hound’s tooth’s home
Fit and finish so fine
It had to be mine
Northwest’s SFO I now own

It’s National Knife Day today
Much to my wallet’s dismay
But for me there’s no sorrow
I bought a Bullet End Barlow
And in my pocket it stays

One day a man named John
A new knife he did don.
He waxed about it so fine
