All About Pocket Knives

i read where people refer to a EDC or mention EDC. what are they referring to?

Just a little slang for "Every Day Carry."

I prefer EDU "everyday use" if theres such a thing cause if its in my pocket I will use it.

EDC has been around for years. I think EDU would confuse the issue.

EDC is the only knife you have to sharpen! I used to refuse to buy a knife because it would have to be sharpened, something I am no good at. A 5 blade sowbelly would make me shudder - I couldn't get even 1 blade sharp let alone all 5! Imagine my pleasure to discover that being a collector actually discourages sharpening! Now I can buy a knife without feeling guilty about not wearing it out on a stone. Also, I now have a lansky system for my edc & kitchen knives. Can it get any better?

I have a small half round diamond dust sharpener made by Gerber that I carry in my shirt pocket, mainly cause it also has a place to sharpen HOOKS hahahah
