A Case of covers

Snakewood covers have been meticulously applied to this somewhat scruffy but rock solid Case Trapper by our own Muskrat Man.
Kaleb does a first rate job and I am so happy to have this knife.
I do appreciate used and honored old knives. 61048 - scarcely readable.

That is one to be proud of when you carry it! Young Kaleb does beautiful work.
I'm partial to those old Case 048's. The 1st knife I remember buying when I was starting high school. My dad wore it out, he assumed ownership after I went to Parris Island 60 years ago this past July. After his death in '79, I assumed ownership and some years later had a new blade put in it.
They aren't as tough as a 54 but will do the job!

It is well that you endured your fathers tutelage as to the care of the knife.
As I recall, you posted the change of the blade somewhere here on the forum. Is that so?
These little charmers are great for cleaning fish. What fish I catch anymore I release.
I have been fortunate to collect these three models.

Very nice Joe!! The 48 is a great slicer of veggies in the kitchen as well. Plenty of handle and blade. Slim in the pocket too!! Beautiful work by Caleb!! Enjoy your beauty!!

“Scruffy” no more. Those snakewood covers are beautiful. And Kaleb is a craftsman. That is a knife anyone would love to add to a collection.
