Schrade 881Y rescue

I had this Schrade Walden 881Y. Unfortunately, the "Y" left the knife a long time ago. Also, the knife had either been involved in some gassing or exposure to moisture/water, and the blades all got some deep corrosion bites on them. Still, the blades are "all there", so it seemed a shame to relegate it to the parts drawer, so I decided to save it from that fate.
I decide to use (what else?) some stag that I had dyed. The piece on the mark side really had some deep valleys, so I thought it would look great if I could make it work. I think it turned out decent enough...

Very nice indeed. And that's an early very nicely ground blade as well!

"Decent enough"... doesn't seem to be the most fitting word. Even mildly fabulous comes up a little short. Great work.

I truly love seeing knives that you have redone. Aside from you making these knives so beautiful, your work is inspiring to me.

The stag that you used is perfect on that knife! Excellent work as always Glenn.
(Come to think of it, I don't remember ever seeing a knife that didn't look great dressed in stag.)
