All About Pocket Knives

I have not posted any updates recently on Alyson's condition because there has not been a lot happening until now. They stopped her chemo so she could have her teeth pulled as the chemo had made them loose.
They should be starting the chemo soon again, but she has been so weakened from the chemo that she has trouble getting in and out of bed.
I have to help her in and out of bed and to the bathroom. I am hoping to get a hold of the doctor this week to see what they want to do next.
We are about to the point that she needs in home nursing care, as she does not wish to go to a nursing home. I guess my cooking is as bad as I thought. LOL
Please continue to pray for healing for Alyson and for strength for me.

Dale this update was very timely as our Sunday School was asking about Alyson this morning. They are all very faithful to pray for you and Alyson and are very concerned when I don't give them a update every month or so. Hang tough brother and hopeful you can get some in home help.

Alyson was admitted into the Hospital today
for dehydration and testing. They will probably keep her for one or two days. They're going to do a CT scan and an MRI.

Dale I haven't been online all day and I just now saw this. It's my bedtime but I will say a specific prayer for Alyson before

Good news! The MRI of Alyson's brain was negative for any signs of stroke or cancer in her brain. Praise the Lord!
From what I got from the oncologist's nurse today, she will probably be in the hospital for a couple more days and then they want to move her to a rehab facility and do physical therapy on her to build up her strength before coming home.

Continued prayers for y'all my brother. Prayers for healing, strength and grace as you navigate these dark waters.

That is good news, Dale! That she has the option to come home at some point following rehab is positive. I will continue to pray for Alyson's continued progress in healing.

Alyson is out of the hospital and into a rehabilitation facility. The plan is to help her build up her strength so she can come home and I could care for her with some in home health aid.

Prayers stilll going out

Alyson isn't able to do the PT at the rehabilitation facility because the pain is too  intense.
She has been having a lot of confusion since having her teeth pulled in mid-June. Yesterday, she had a couple of hours of absolute mental clarity. God is so good! For a couple of hours, I had my beloved wife back! She was very clear, she said,  "I am sorry, I can't do this anymore." We prayed together and cried together then she called her doctor and started the process of going on hospice. 
Today, hospice came and talked to us, and her daughter was here also. Tomorrow, hospice will deliver a hospital bed and other equipment to our house and then they bring her home.
I will update you as I can.

I am so sad for you to be going through this situation, but I'm happy beyond expression that you could have this moment with her.
