I recently refound this again after being tucked away for years
Id love to get any info on it
I was told it was at least 80 plus yrs old??

I am far from being an expert, but from all the information I've read regarding Latama knives, I would say your knife definitely holds value with Latama collectors and perhaps others as well.
As for how old it is I can't say, but when other more informed members read your post I'm sure they can answer your question.
You might be tempted to clean-up your knife, but I suggest you hold off on doing so until you hear from other members since some will say "Yes, clean it up", whereas other will say "That will decrease it's value", so for the time being enjoy your new find and wait patiently for more information. It does appear to have been poorly sharpened.
One thing I do know for sure is, it's a beautiful older Latama automatic knife, congratulations!

Hello Kuda. I agree with Marco... that sure is a cool old Latama which certainly holds some value. Love the blonde horn! It does have some condition issues, particularly some blade loss from sharpening. How is the back of the knife and does it peek when closed? From the pictures, it looks like some rust on the bolsters. Am I right? If so, I would clean that bit to stop it from doing its evil deed. For that, I'd use some WD40. Give it a day or so to loosen it up. Flitz is also pretty good at dealing with rust while remaining mild.

The scales are perfect
No cracks
And it functions perfectly
The discoloration will come off
It's apparently just surface
I've had it at least 15 yrs
Actually forgot I had it in the drawer..lol

Was told it's from the 40s or 50s
By the old timer that I got it from
It's almost 9 inches long

Id love to maybe trade it on a FB swing guard or something like that ...that is not so old
