Case Tested XX Goldstone

picked up a Case Goldstone. It is a GS57 but I can't find any information I did find a photo in the 6th Ed of American Premium Guide to Knives. page 310. If you have any info would be great. Hope I didn't pay to much.......My first posrt many more to come....

I don't know anything about it but I'm going to say that it's rare because I've never seen one or even heard of one until now.

I think so also. There is another type model 957 in green and pearl I think 1934-1940 but I could be wrong. I have been reading and looking for hours now.....its trying to find a unicorn...

I have no information on your knife. I will say that a knife being rare does not always equate to it being valuable, but with Case you typically have a better chance of it.
Original Goldstone celluloid seems to be fairly unstable stuff, which would make it even more rare

I would definitely store it away from other knives in your collection.

to AAPK! I have an old W.R.Case Goldstone Lobster and it seems to be fairly stable. Still, better safe than sorry. Awesome looking fixed blade!
