Help with ID and value

I’m interested in making a deal to purchase this knife but I don’t really know what a good offer would be. I believe it to be a 1968-1970 Buck Nemo with the red/brown spacers. Condition is obviously well-worn. Thanks for the help!

They go pretty high, but to give you a base line this sold on eBay recently for $330. Had some dents in the handle and wear.

My opinion only.
He's about $1000 to high.

Well mint in the box and actually owned by Captain Nemo might fetch $1200. This one not so much. Neat knife and not real common but careful shopping should get you one for considerably less.

On eBay there are a bunch for $900 or so, but I searched sold products. There was another for around $600 and some that sold with best offer taken but price not shown. $1200 seems well above to me unless there was a proven Vietnam provenance where it was carried in action(that ups the price on a lot of knives, especially MK2 Gerber).
