I did not take "before" pictures of this knife, but I did video the repair process. I have aspirations of starting a YouTube channel on knife repair. So far it takes about two weeks to edit 2 or 3 hours of video, so I am not holding my breath. If it works out, I may post the video in a couple of months.
Anyway, I replaced a broken blade. I had an old Sheepsfoot blade that was badly worn that I shaped into a pen blade. I should have researched and seen that the 804 had a coping blade there. Oh well, it is cobbled anyway. It has been a long time since I have carried a Whittler, and this one should make a great EDC.
I took a still shot of the video so that you can see the replacement blade before I ground it into a pen blade.

Another big, glaring flaw is that the PIVOT PINS SHOW!!!!
The metal seemed too hard when I cut and peened it, but I checked it with a magnet 3 times and it was non-magnetic. It must be a type of stainless though.
::shrug::
I am leaving it. As a cobbled EDC, it is good. Heck, I might even convince folk that I did it intentionally to make the knife stronger!

I hope y'all enjoyed your day as much as I enjoyed mine!
