My 18-year-old son Walker was baptized this morning!
Our pastor graciously offered to let me do the honors, and I could not have been more pleased!
Well, I do wish that Walker had given a simpler answer: When I asked him if he confessed Jesus to be his Lord and Savior, he answered, "Yeah, pretty much."
For those who don't know, Walker has autism, and though he is very smart, he does see the world a little differently than most people. He will graduate High School this Tuesday, and in the top 12 students in his class. But I am much happier with his character and his love for Jesus than I am with his grades. WOO-HOO!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

What a special moment! And Walker's reply pretty much sums up the walk through Christian life for most of us. Try as we may, we often miss the mark, so we accept "pretty much". Or as an old friend of mine answered to the "How are you doing today?" question: "Not as good as I should be, but a lot better than I once was".

Praise God! Having your child accept Jesus as their savior is one of the greatest things any parent can experience. Thanks for sharing this with us here.
