. I'm missing 5 of the knives that say razor edge on them and came with a sharpening steel rod. I've had a hard time trying to replace the 4 of that kind. Also this old store display case still has the price tags on the knives and they range from $7.75-$12.75. All the handles are the Camillus plastic type and there's 31 knives of all different patterns not counting the 5 that I am missing. I bought an old beat up hawkbill to fill the hawkbill spot in the case but the rest of them are new old knives that are basically mint besides the large fisherman knife has a crack from the pin to the edge of the knife..I'm ashamed to tell you that 20 years ago I paid 800 for this with 1 other Case knife worth about 75 bucks now threw in because I thought when am I ever gonna see something like this again. So I'm wondering what this is worth and what year these knives were made. Please help me if you can. Also if you see any Camillus knives that come with the sharpening steel rod let me know because I am missing all but one for the case. Thank you ahead of time.

I do have one Camillus knife from about 1975 that came with a sharpening steel. I will have to check and see what the number is. Do you know what years your display is from?

Impressive display, very nice! ::tu: ::tu:: :

I have no idea. I'm guessing sometime in the 70s but that's a guess

Thank you very much. I am just today getting back on the site after many years. I've spent all day reading. Id say it's probably around 75 or so.

Very nice display case. Continue your search for those other knives.
It would be very satisfying to complete the set.

You probably know this already but just in case, you can set up permanent saved “search” criteria in eBay, and watch there for sales of Camillus knives (or any other items). If you check that every day or three, be diligent and patient, eventually you’ll likely find what you are seeking. I once had a “grail” knife I was seeking, and after three years of patience one finally showed up for sale on eBay. It can be done!

Nice store display . ::tu:: ::tu:: Some of the knifes you are missing may not have the etch . The 67,72,76,77, and 91 may not be etched and easier to find in the condition you desire . The “ Cam - Stone # 9380 was sold separately and with the 165,177, and 179 boxed set. . Those are a little harder to find in very good or better condition. Your set is in both the 1975 and 79 Camillus Catalogs. You can find those on Collectors -of-Camillus.us if interested. Very good site ! Hope that helps . If you could tell us the model numbers you need ,some of us here may have some laying around that we’re willing to part with.

I need #9,#91,#177(have rod for it but no knife),#67,#49p,#67. Those are the ones I am missing. If anyone can help me I might have the money to purchase some now or I might not be able to buy for a few weeks (I work at a college and with college out my hours have been cut) but I am definitely interested.

I just saw a used 49p on eBay for 30 bucks plus shipping. It's used but in pretty good shape. I wish I could find a better looking one to match my other knives but this may be my only chance to get one because I hardly ever see them for sale. Should I pull the trigger?

My philosophy (worth exactly what you paid for it  ) is if it fills a need and you can afford it, get it while you can. It may be a loooong time until you can find another, if ever. And if you do, you can pass the old one on to someone else who needs it. If it’s a scarce one you may not be the only one looking for it.

Agree with Ken . If you find one that you need and it fits the bill ,grab it . There’s a few 49 that come up for sale regularly but not the 49 p . For 30 bucks would grab it . Will look thru my pile of long line era knives and see if I have any you need . Enjoy the hunt . That’s the fun part !

I bought it and 30 minutes later the seller cancelled the sale and refunded my money on eBay. ::dang::
