20 Years has come and gone - Its time to say goodbye

20 years have come and gone, where has the time gone? I joined AAPK 10 years ago, I've been picking for 20 years. and I've bought and sold over 250k dollars in knives. Over 1/3 of my life has been passionately part of vintage cutlery collecting and or knife making. But it's time to say goodbye.

The Vintage Knife is officially closed - 100% of my inventory and personal collection have been sold - Anyone (Selling Knives) claiming to be Me or part of The Vintage Knife is lying. I've uploaded my database to a Google Drive for everyone - mostly it is an eye candle database of a small part of the knives that went through my hands at some time in history. But there are also NOTES - lots of notes - have fun looking at over 3000 photos - any nudes of me and the wife please delete lol.

------------------------

Just a few little notes to my old-school pickers friends who jumped on that last sale -- First I would like to thank all of you for making this and the big sale I had a few years ago so fast and easy. You all stepped up to help me in my time of need and I thank you for it.

Dimitri aka -Miller Bro's - Thanks my friend - enjoy the pill knives there were some of the snappest ones I ever had, and my email was flooded with buy requests.

Dale aka Orvet - Thanks my friend - You got one of my favorite Kershaw knives, enjoy it.

Glennbad you are a gifted Craftsman, I can't wait to see my dress knife whole again - enjoy the mammoth - Thanks my friend

Quintus aka QTCut5 - My island partner in crime - I hope you enjoy the knives - if you ever sell that mammoth one I surprised you with please, contact me first my son may want it. I'll pm contact info.

Ray aka Paladin, you are an honest man and a True Old School Picker at heart ( Thanks again to you and your wife for Dinner and everything else ) (Don't Sell the Ron Lake knife yet - Remember what I told you)

Philco - I tried my friend. It's bad timing.

-----------------------------------

Thanks for 20 Years of fun I will miss everyone ............

Gary (PCWizard)
Owner - The Vintage Knife 2001 - 2024

Sorry to see your picking/collecting end Gary. It will happen to all of us some day, one way or another. Hope you stick around AAPK. You still have something to contribute, even without your knives. Either way I wish for you the best.

Ken

Although we never formally met, I always enjoyed your posts. Sad to see an, '' old-timer '' leave, at least your departure notice is being written by you instead of your next-of-kin.
Hope you will check in every so often & say hello. Enjoy your new endeavors my friend.

Thank you Gary for the awesome Kershaw! I love their Damascus blades and the wild turkey is one of my favorite pattern of theirs.

You will be missed around here, I hope you still pop in from time to time and say howdy!
God bless you my friend.

Hey Gary!
Although you and I have had little interaction in the 4 yrs. I've been a member, I've enjoyed reading your posts, and when I read your departure testimonial just now it felt like I was losing an old friend.
You've paid your dues, my friend, time to sit back and enjoy your Golden Years.
I wish nothing but the best for you and yours from here on, and as it's been mentioned, please don't be a stranger.
Adios, Amigo! ::handshake::
Mark

I was too late to get into your knives. I enjoyed the palette knives Dimitri got. I tried buying and selling and I'm not good at it.😊
At least you participated, many store owners don't. I'm glad for your store's contributions to this site, this is the only good pictorial and historical site left.
