Received this little knife with the Remington tang stamp . Looking for a little info before giving it to Brother ,the car guy in our family .
Wondering who made this . The little that I know of Remington is that they allowed other companies to use there blades with some stipulations.
Would those companies belike Quick point , ideal , etc. It’s a well built figural ,not like the knock offs.
Thanks

I doubt this was made by Remington (either the frame or the blade), but possibly is an “authorized item”. Remember, everything actually made by a Remington-owned factory has to be from pre-1940. Everything made after that (including blades) was made by someone else whether “authorized” or not. I think that is a more recent stamp. I wouldn’t call it a “reproduction” as I’m not sure there was ever a genuine original to be “reproduced”. ::shrug:: JMO Not sure if that helps or not!
