Well, the 2024 Oregon Knife Collectors Association show is now history. This year leadership has changed for the club and for the show. In my opinon, it was a very success show.
I just got home about 3 hours ago and begin looking at what I bought today, but I haven't got any pictures yet. This one picture is my haul from yesterday. I also got several knives on Friday as well. I will have to get pictures of Friday's knives and Sundays knives and post them.
The knives in this picture are the ones I bought on Saturday.
It was a great show this year with 380 tables. They made a few changes and one of the changes I really like is that if someone arrives at the show on Friday they can join the club on the spot and have admission to the show that day. That's a change from the previous policy of having to be a member before the first day of the show if you wanted to attend the show on day one. It was a nice relaxed show this year and I had a lot of fun and got lots of knives. Probably the best part of it was seeing old friends, many from AAPK and from all over the US and Canada. We usually have international guests as well, but this year the only ones I talked to personally were from Canada, and there were several of them.
It was a great show and I'm looking forward to next year! I will post some more pictures of my treasures in the next day or two.

Are a few more pictures of some of the knives I picked up at the Oregon show.
Some of these were in the picture previously posted above, but I wanted to do a group shot of the Gerbers.
When I open the box I found this note inside.
The knife was won at the Oregon Knife Collectors Association show 1976. The note gives the name of the winner as well as the name of the person who donated the knife. I thought that was pretty cool!

These are the fixed blades that found their way into my luggage when I return home on Sunday.
The ones on the left are all Westerns. The bone handled knife is a Coast Cutlery knife that was also made by Western.
The one on the far right is a Schrade Walden 148.
The last picture is the folders that stowed away in my luggage on Sunday. Sneaky little things!
From the top left:
Schrade Walden 861 peach seed bone
Schrade Walden peach seed bone, no number.
Kutmaster Stockman, Delrin handle
Electric Cut Co - bone handle
Camillus #69 - jigged bone, no cracks!
Camillus Marlin Spike knife
Top right:
Ulster - no cracks in the bone handles
Western States
Case - 63033
I will try to get some more pictures of the folders and add them in here. I probably missed some and I know there's some that I bought which I traded at the show. There was a lot of great trading this year!
It was a great show this year and I hope next year show will be even better. However, I have that post show regret, as my body is telling me you're too old to stand on concrete for 3 days! But I should be better by next Monday!

Guys, thanks for the pictures. A Facebook memory popped up today from my Oregon knife show trip from a few years ago. It sure did make me want to go back again. It's a great show and there are some fine folks there to visit. If anyone has a chance to take in this show, I'd strongly recommend they do so. It's a good one.

I’m joining OKCA when the dust settles from this years show that just ended and making a firm commitment to the 2025 show and hoping for a few AAPK copy-cats, anyone with me?

One more knife from the show that I forgot in the earlier pictures is the 2024 club knife for the Oregon Knife Collectors Association.
This knife is a tribute to Wayne Goddard, one of the founding members of the club. Wayne was a early full time custom knife maker and the author of the $50 Knife Shop, plus the sequel to that book. He also authored many articles in Blade Magazine.
This knife is a design that Wayne produced. It is recreated here as the 2024 OKCA club knife. There were 105 of these knives made and mine is number 43.

Anyone recognize this mug? One of my heros in the knife world. I spotted him early and said hello and that I was a fan. He was like I knew him. Very chatty, interested, and kind. Unassuming, soft spoken, sharp and whitty. Gave me 20 min or so of his time. Great guy.

You mentioned new leadership.
Are Dennis and Elayne Ellingson both okay?

Another I picked up at the show. I wasn't even looking for Case stuff, but this stag caught my eye. Steel liners and very well built. Excellent action and tight.

Yes, so far as I am aware. It's my understanding they helped with the transition to the new leadership. Their son is on the board of the club and I believe he was the show coordinator this year.
Also on the board is Steve Goddard.
Dennis and Elayne along with Wayne and Phyllis Goddard were the founders of the club. So it's kind of cool that two of the board members are sons of the founders and grew up going to the show.

Fantastic haul, Dale! It was great to get a chance to chat with you for a while.
Some beautiful finds, Ivoryman! Also great to catch up with you again.
A couple of shots of the room on Friday, setup day. There were quite a few empty tables on Friday, but, they mostly filled up on Saturday.
Also some pics of one of the displays. A beautiful display of exhibition knives from John Greenhough. I have pics of all the displays and will get them up eventually.

A white bone CC Rider, purchase from Charlie.
