All About Pocket Knives

Hi folks first post here . I picked up this knife the other day and can not make out the name on it . I know it has a broken blade but I would say I am more curious than anything at this point . Thanks

Nice find! Too bad it’s in such poor condition but it’s a fairly obscure stamp, dates to 1872-1888 according to Goins’ Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings. The Naugatuck Valley in Connecticut was once a hotbed of cutleries, due the ample availability of water power energy necessary at the time to run the equipment. There were numerous cutleries located there - Naugatuck Cutlery being one of the shorter lived.
