New to me Queen City fixed-blade

Hey, Folks,
Just came across this today: Have a little more experience with Westerns, but Queens are new to me. So far have found that the stamp places this at 1937 to 1945. But this looks different than the 'PX' knives I've seen posted. The guard is thicker and shaped differently than on the war-time PX ones, and this just has a flat pommel, or basically no pommel. 6" blade, and doesn't look like it has been sharpened very much.
Military, maybe, or is this just what a prewar Queen fixed-blade looks like?
Thanks!
Scott
