Help Identify - please!

Found this one recently at a local flea market, but haven’t had any success in my research on its manufacturer.

Please see attached photos.

The tang is stamped “Made in Italy” in English. The blade has an etching that says “Savana”.

As a point of reference, it’s very close dimensionally to a Buck 110, and has wood scales and brass bolsters. As you can see in the photos, the blade release is top center.

Thanks, in advance, for your help!

It's tough to research anything Italian without a million stilettos popping up....

My only insights are that I believe from Maniago came some nice knives, and I vaguely recall reading about a Mediterranean collective that got together to make and export knives with an emphasis on marketing and advertising knives. Savana etching on your blade looks like an American company to me, so maybe a knife from 70's or 80's made in Italy for an American outfitter?

This based on a limited knowledge, your photos and a short internet query, so don't take my word for it. It's a cool looking knife though, hope you learn more.

I can't get this page to load. May be a good starting point for additional info?
